Perspectives: Kyra Carby, Community Genealogy Grant Coordinator for the City of Tulsa

The City of Tulsa is continuing the search for victims of the 1921 massacre in Greenwood. Community Genealogy Grant Coordinator Kyra Carby is on a team of people working to identify remains, and connect descendants with their familial histories. As a Tulsa Public Schools Board Member, 2020 John Hope Franklin Teacher of the Year and a semi-finalist for TPS Teacher of the Year, and former Community Engagement Manager with GGP Parks LLC, she has a long history of public service in the Tulsa community, and we are honored to have her on the show to talk with us.
