Woodsongs S27 E11: Julie Williams and Moon King
JULIE WILLIAMS is one of the exciting women of color changing the world of country music. Growing up in Florida, she pursued her music career after getting a doctorate in public policy. She actively performs with the Black Opry Revue and this year Julie was inducted into the CMT Next Women of Country Class of 2023.
MOON KING is an incredible, albeit “unknown,” 20-year-old songwriter and musician from the hills of West Virginia. He channels Billy Strings, Stevie Ray Vaugh, and Ronnie Van Zant with the southern blues singers of the mountains.
