Oklahoma Heroes: Darrell Moore

Darrell Moore has dedicated his life to serving his country and his community. After graduating from Pryor High School in 1972, Darrell attended the University of Oklahoma and obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics, a Master’s degree in business administration, and a law degree. After graduating from O.U. in 1979, he served on active duty with the United States Marine Corps until October 1991.  

Upon returning home to practice law with his father and his sister in Pryor, he was elected five times to the Pryor City Council, proudly representing Ward 1 from 1992 until 2002. He also continued his service to our country in the Marine Corps Reserve. After a final assignment serving as the mobilization assistant to the Commander, United States Pacific Command, he retired as a Major General on July 1, 2014, after over 35 years of service.

Darrell continues to serve his community. He is on the board of directors for First Pryority Bank, Alliance Health Medical Center, Pryor Main Street, Inc., and was a founding board member for the Pryor Creek Recreation Center. His law practice currently involves work for clients in state, federal, workers’ compensation, and military courts.
