Oklahoma Heroes: Erwin King

Erwin King, a silver star recipient, served with the 103rd Infantry in World War II. He traveled over 500 miles on foot through France, Germany and Austria. He survived multiple close calls and combat injuries as well as a fight with dysentery that nearly cost him his life. Upon returning home, he found fulfillment in serving others through outreach and missions programs at his Church. Over the course of 15 years, he went on over 35 missions trips and led teams to help those in need in the local community. Erwin and his wife, Alice, live in the same Tulsa home they moved into in 1957.
