In 1989, Weird Al Yankovic was known for his music, and specifically for his parodies of rock and roll hits. But that was the year he rolled out his first and only feature film, UHF. Yankovic co-wrote the film with Jay Levey, who directed it. The budget was about 5 million dollars and the film made a little over 6 million dollars. The distributor, Orion Pictures, went out of business soon after. But UHF flourished, or at least became a cult classic. And now, on the 25th anniversary of the production of the film, Yankovic and Levey are returning to celebrate with some of the local people who contributed to the film.
