The Wall on the Hill

In the summer of 2018, The Wall That Heals, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in Washington D.C, arrived at a very special place in Claremore, Oklahoma. For over a half a century Rogers State University was the Oklahoma Military Academy. From 1919-1971 thousands of young cadets trained on these grounds. Over 2,500 served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Over 100 OMA cadets lost their lives, including 21 in the Vietnam War. The Wall on the Hill tells the story of the wall’s visit to RSU, with compelling stories from former cadets, family members, friends and visitors from all over the country who came to honor the 58,318 names on the wall.
