What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?

The What’s So Cool About Oklahoma Manufacturing program is dedicated to changing the perceptions and attitudes about manufacturing jobs and careers by showcasing real people and giving a visual representations of 21st century manufacturing employees, jobs and careers.

Working with companies inside the MidAmerica Industrial Park we have teamed 5 schools with 5 companies who have allowed these student film makers and potential future employees into the manufacturing facilities to experience what a career in manufacturing is like.

These partnering companies have allowed these students into their space to interview employees, to take a look at their products and to get a good idea of what it would be like to get a job at that facility. These young film makers used their wits, imagination, enthusiasm and video skills to tell the story of what its like working in an ever-changing high-tech industry.
